Virtual Workshop - December
Today I count the ability to connect with others as a strength of mine, but it wasn’t always that way. I happen to be an eight on the Enneagram if you have ever taken that personality assessment, an eight’s biggest fear is to be disempowered and controlled. Vulnerability is terrifying.
As you can imagine, this doesn’t lead to building solid relationships with other people. In my first leadership role, I was so bad at relationships that I nearly got fired until I was able to get some help, from other people, to help me turn my career around.
Over the past fifteen years of coaching thousands of leaders and business owners, I noticed something. I’m not the only one who has a tendency to struggle with relationships in some way, shape or form.
If you are a leader who is looking to achieve goals, grow personally, or scale a business, you will get to the place you want to be faster with the help of other people around you.
Leaders who struggle to ask for help, to delegate, to empower, tend to burnout and consider quitting the work that they are doing altogether. Maybe you aren’t at a burnout but maybe you struggle with turnover or team members not working independently or maybe it’s constant interruptions at work. None of us gets to avoid relationship challenges.
After seeing the challenges of relationships show up time and time again in my coaching with leaders, I knew it was time to make this our next one day workshop.
Building Winning Relationships is a one day virtual workshop that will focus on helping you create the following:
Session 1: You will unpack your greatest challenges with relationships currently.
These areas include:
Your pride/ego
Your desire to not over-burden others
Overcoming the “I should know that” trap
How to deal with people who are crappy to you when you ask them for help
What to do about people who let us down
You will walk away in session 1 having identified your biggest challenge and will have created some powerful steps to move forward in overcoming it.
Session 2: This session is all about action and how to engage in powerful collaboration with others to support you in achieving your goals.
Session 2 weaves the challenges of session 1 into solutions to build better collaboration with people around you.
You will discover:
Further clarity around your purpose and what knowing yourself has to do with how you respond to others.
How powerful leaders do relationships. What are the key characteristics?
What your greatest obstacles and opportunities are and how to use relationships to work through them.
How to make honoring requests
You will also identify your best relationships and how to work with them powerfully.
At the end of session 2, you will have a specific game plan for how to grow your organization without using more of your personal effort.
In addition to the content, you will be doing this experience with other leaders who are looking to grow and learn through this experience as well.
